The first of 42 luxury town home units in the new Keystone Village was opened with a ribbon cutting event March 16th. Chad Lyon, owner and construction manager did the honors as Gloria Lyon, interiors manager looked on. Participating in the event were Gerry Maddox, Leo Schumacher, and Rich Bredenkamp representing Lincoln Federal Savings Bank.

Tours of the first three of 6 distinctive designs will be given from 1 to 5 Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and March 25. Keystone Village didn't just happen. It was a deliberately bold and creative plan to introduce a new concept for town home living to Lincoln, Nebraska. Lincoln had an abundance of low priced duplexes that generally all looked alike. A few locations for luxurious town home living at prime sites on a golf course were available and there were a few more attractive town home plans coming onto the market. But not much to fit into the middle . . . people who wanted a well designed and quality constructed town home option for the same price as an average suburban single family plus the advantage of someone else mowing the lawn, shoveling the snow, and taking care of things! As the cornerstone of the Wilderness Hills subdivision, Lincoln Federal announced in 2006 the "Life Style Centre" at 27th and Yankee Hill Road and as the gateway to the residential neighborhood to the south, Lincoln Federal envisioned well designed and quality constructed town homes. Lincoln architects were consulted regarding options for high density development of the site and the options were narrowed down to the site development plan that is known today as Keystone Village. From the beginning, it was the vision of Gerald Maddox at Lincoln Federal, that these town homes set the design standards for the single family residential community to follow and Keystone Village appeared to be exactly what he had in mind.
